The Sycamore Tree Academy School’s annual Careers Day turned into a thrilling event as the Amanzimtoti Fire Station joined the festivities with a demonstration of their fire engines.

The Careers Day, aimed at inspiring young minds about various professions, welcomed representatives from diverse fields to share their experiences. However, the highlight of the day was the fire station’s participation, as they sent two fully equipped fire engines to showcase the vital work of firefighters.

Children and teachers alike were thrilled as they watched the firefighters expertly demonstrate their equipment and safety procedures. The firefighters also engaged in interactive sessions, answering questions and inspiring the students with their bravery and commitment to public service.

“It’s always great to have the community involved in our events, and having the Amanzimtoti Fire Station here was a fantastic addition,” said Mrs. Johnson, the school’s principal. “Our students were in awe, and we hope this experience will encourage them to explore career paths that make a positive impact on society.”

The fire station’s participation not only brought excitement to the Careers Day but also helped raise awareness about fire safety and the crucial role of firefighters in protecting communities.
